Mommy and Me (Ages 18 months to 3 years)
We understand the importance of starting dance at a young age, especially for children who are drawn to the art and ready to explore creative movement. Rare will you find schools that offer classes to toddlers. Some even begin at the age of 1!! Mommy and me classes combine elements of Ballet, Jazz, Tumbling and Singing, giving your child the opportunity to experience different styles of dance while expressing him or herself and enjoying some time with Mom, Dad, siblings or Grandparents.
In addition to weekly class, dancers in Mommy and me will perform in the annual June Recital—a fun time to show off their newly learned skills in costume for their adoring fans!! (Recital to be held June 11th and 12th, 2016)

Ballet (Levels 1 and above)
Ballet is an important part of a dancer’s overall training as it is the root and foundation of all other dance forms. It is a core element in our studio’s training producing dancers who are recognized on a local, regional and national level for their strength and exquisite technique in ballet. Believe us, it shows! In ballet class, students will be instructed on proper body placement, balance, flexibility, alignment and technique achieved both through barre and floor work.
Unique to a studio that doesn’t train exclusively in ballet, Just for Kicks offers a full-length Nutcracker each December, and a Ballet Production every year featuring ballet students of all ages.

Jazz
Jazz dance is a beautiful and impelling art with a variety of genres. Students will be taught appropriate technique while exploring modern, lyrical and contemporary styles to express feeling and movement. Classes will consist of unique moves, big leaps, and multiple turns. To excel in jazz, dancers need a strong background in ballet as it encourages grace, balance, and muscle control
Offered separately, turns class focuses specifically on turns, leaps and other skills across the floor. Separate emphasis in just turning and leaps will complement the movements and choreography taught in jazz class.
In a weekly contemporary class, advanced dancers over the age of 13 are taught a new choreography phrase each week helping students to learn how to pick up new movements quickly, express themselves, and improve their performance technique.
If this is your dancer’s first time taking a Jazz class and he or she is between the ages of 6 and 18, then the beginning/intermediate class is the place to start! Tailored to the specific skill set and needs of those newer to dance, the class will help your child tackle the technique needed to transition into one of our Jazz-level classes. A key focus of the class will include instruction on flexibility training and the movement of jazz.
Starting dance a little older in age can be intimidating for some. Our instructors are well-trained and sensitive to the feelings of new dancers, providing a comfortable atmosphere where dancers can learn uninhibited while being pushed enough to see improvement while developing a passion for dance!
Dancers enrolled in Jazz class will perform in the annual Spring Recital. Turns and Contemporary classes do not perform in the recital. (Recital to be held June 13th and 14th)

Hip Hop
Hip-hop is an extremely diverse current dance form. Although there is no codified technique to hip-hop, dancers must develop a broad ability in musicality and movement dynamics. Hip-hop dancers are strongly encouraged to take modern dance as it teaches the dancer how to use the body for the quick level changes that happen in hip-hop.
